Maxx Is 4 Months Old

Here are some interesting tidbits about Maxx at 4 Months:

• He has the softest, pudgy little hands - probably from having them in his mouth all the time! He's grabbing at things now and his fingers are so soft when he grabs your hand or rubs his open palm on you.
  
• And he's got the most kissable, chubby cheeks - I smother him in kisses and rub my face all over his cheeks every chance I get!
  
• He's a thumb-sucker, and chews on his fingers, and his hand, and any old hand that happens by within range. And he's been drooling like crazy recently. I hope he's not working on teeth already!
  
• Maxx has a pretty mellow personality and is usually content unless he is hungry or bored of being alone, which happens occasionally with a demanding big sister around.
  
• He's also quite a trooper being carted along with us to soccer camp, play dates, birthday parties and various other outings. He goes out much more often than Kyla did and I do kind of worry that he will not establish a good nap routine. I really want my kids to learn good sleep habits, as I cherish the times when they sleep.
  
• It appears that there is some light hair growing in under the dark hair he was born with. We're waiting to see if he takes after Daddy, who was born with black hair that all fell out to reveal blond hair beneath.
• Maxx can roll from his back to his belly and then he gets frustrated because he doesn't like being on his belly.
• He likes watching the TV. The other day he was on his back, craning his neck around so he could watch.
• He seems to have sensitive ears (also like Daddy). He doesn't like the hairdryer. He gives a little jump, complete with flailing arms, when it first turns on, then gets really wide eyes. Then his mouth turns down in a frown, his brow furrows and he scrunches his face before opening his mouth and letting out the saddest little wail. It is so darn cute!
• Maxx has an adorable smile and loves flashing it when people give him their full attention.
• He's ticklish on his collarbone and neck. He grunts and laughs out loud when he's tickled.
