Kyla is crawling! She started about a week ago with just a couple of leg & arm scoots. After a few days, she would crawl a little way, give a couple of feeble cries, make some more whiny noises and somewhat uncertainly, continue crawling, with much clapping, coaxing and encouragement required to keep her motivated. Now, she is crawling all the way across the room completely of her own accord. Usually, with the intention of getting a remote control, x-box game controller or a cat. Mr. T is the most tolerant of her and even sticks around after she pulls chunks of his fur out, grabs at his ears and tries to gum him to death.
At this point Kyla isn't moving all that fast, but we know that it will only be a matter of days until she'll be into everything. So, thus begins our redecorating: plugs in the outlets, pan rack in the pantry, coffee table (to craigslist?), safety gates in the doorways, cabinet locks, and so on.
Crawling at 6+ months... We're a little scared that she'll be walking in no time at all. Even now, her favorite thing is to hold our hands, while she supports herself standing/walking/dancing in place.
