Yes, the first Christmas was a little too exciting for Kyla. Poor girl, she had just finished recovering from the horrible flu bug that had been going around daycare, work, the general public at large. Kyla got it first, then Jedd, then me. But Kyla had it the longest. And no sooner did she get over it, then Christmas and friends and family descended upon us.
In all, we had a wonderful Christmas. We all got lots of great presents and had a fun time spending Christmas Eve at G-ma & Papa's house and hosting Christmas dinner at our house. And now that all the hullabaloo is done with, Kyla is thoroughly enjoying her new toys!
Christmas Highlights:
- Having Merry Maids clean my house before Christmas
- (Note to self: remember to schedule a cleaning for after Christmas)
- Spending time and catching up with family and friends
- A surprise visit to Mrs. Brix on Christmas Eve
- Homemade gift exchange with the Perry family
- Kyla playing with and being more excited about wrapping paper than gifts
- Super Tuscan wine with Christmas dinner
- Rob & Lynn (and friends) cooking Christmas dinner
- Photo cards from family & friends - I look forward to them every year
- Highlight for Jedd: Lego Mindstorm - Legos & robots, need I say more?

sounds like a fun crazy holiday! (minus the flu part... that sucks.)
we were honored to be such a prominent part of your christmas card- both with kyla's aviator hat and chria making an anonymous guest appearance on the card! :)
Congrats on the Star of the Month award, Kyla! We are so proud of you! Christmas dinner was great at your house, minus the flu that hit two days later for me and Uncle Bill. Keep being Brilliant, lil' one : )
Update! Update! Update!
I'm about as patient as all your little munchkins... but these blogs are my lifeline to home. Take pity.
